Mechanical finishing – polished and satin finishing
INTRODUCTION
Italtecno’s polishing and satin finish machines salve many problems related to the polishing of aluminium extrusions profiles.
It is possible to obtain brushed (scotchbrite), semi bright, bright finishes using different types of brushes, different polishing pastes and different know-how of employment of the machines.
After mechanical polishing, the extrusions profiles are ready for the chemical or electrochemical treatment without extrusion defects and with the desired finish (semi-bright, bright, mirror bright or other special effects obtained in combination with different chemical treatments).
GENERAL CONSTRUCTION
The finishing is obtained by two large polishing rollers that rotate in the desired directions. The PLC controlled software enables an extreme flexibility in terms of the working cycles that can be carried out, making possible an unlimited amount of different finishes.
Two configurations are available: brushing/polishing machines with translating bench and brushing/ polishing machines with translating head.
Translating Head Configuration:
- Has the advantage of requiring less space in the working area
Translating Bench Configuration:
- Less expensive
- Can enable a very high productivity in the models with large bench
THE RANGE OF PRODUCTION
The range of production can be divided between brushing/polishing machines for short profiles (length up to 4400 mm) and brushing/polishing machines for long profiles (length up to 6500 mm, or more on request).
