The advantage of vertical powder coating plants compared to horizontal and Compact plants is the very high productivity (1000-2000 kg/h) at reduced running costs and less number of workers for racking/unracking.

The need for improving productivity led away from horizontal lines and towards an increasing use of automatic vertical conveyor chain plants. These use less labour and significantly reduced chemicals and paint consumption, as vertical racking of the bars causes less drag-out from pre-treatment solution and very uniform paint deposition.

The vertical plants immediately give excellent results when producing large lots of the same colour (as white or green): chan­ging from an horizontal to a vertical system means passing from a production of 400-800 Kg/h to 1200-2000 Kg/h (working in ideal conditions with a single colour).
